John Cena, Eric André to Star in Netflix Comedy Movie ‘Little Brother’

As a long-time fan who has watched John Cena’s career blossom from the wrestling ring to the big screen, I can’t help but feel a sense of excitement about his latest project, “Little Brother.” The fact that he’s teaming up with the hilarious Eric André for this Netflix comedy is just the icing on the cake!

John Cena and Eric André are ready to test their bond in a new Netflix comedy film.

As an ardent fan, I’m thrilled to share that the colossal streaming service is in the initial stages of creating “Little Brother”, a project with two renowned stars on board. The gifted duo, Jarrad Paul and Andrew Mogel (known for “The D Train”), have crafted the movie’s script. David Bernad and Ruben Fleischer are slated as producers for this exciting venture. As of now, there’s no word yet on who will direct or when it might hit our screens.

As a devoted fan, I’d like to share my thoughts on “Little Brother,” a captivating tale that revolves around me, a renowned real estate agent, whose carefully orchestrated existence takes an unexpected turn with the reappearance of my peculiar little brother.

The project is set to commence as per Netflix’s recent alliance with WWE, which kicks off next month. During a media gathering held at their office on Tuesday, Netflix’s chief content officer, Bela Bajaria, hinted at the upcoming production called “Little Brother“.

John Cena kick-started his entertainment journey as a WWE wrestler over two decades back, and he’s set to embark on his final WWE tour next year. Upcoming projects for Cena include a return for the second season of the Max series “Peacemaker”, as well as a lead role in the live-action film “Matchbox”, produced by Apple, Skydance, and Mattel Films, which focuses on cars.

He appeared in the 2024 movies Argylle, Ricky Stanicky and Jackpot!

André is well-recognized for his work on the satirical talk show, “The Eric André Show,” which concluded after six successful seasons on Adult Swim last year. His past accomplishments also include starring in the Netflix comedy movie “Bad Trip” and lending his voice to “Trolls Band Together,” “Sing 2,” and the Academy Award-nominated film “The Mitchells vs. the Machines.

In a previous interview with The Hollywood Reporter, filmmaker Peter Farrelly commended John Cena’s commitment to his acting work.

Indeed, he was undoubtedly the best-prepared actor I’ve ever collaborated with, as evidenced by the fact that on our first day together, he had memorized the entire script from start to finish, reciting each line perfectly,” Farrelly stated then.

Cena is represented by WME, Intenta Management and Johnson Shapiro.
