On Monday, the star-studded cast of “The Fantastic Four: First Steps,” featuring Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach, continued their global promotional tour in Los Angeles, introducing Marvel’s First Family to the city.
In this movie, which is reminiscent of the ’60s with a touch of futurism, we join forces with Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch, and The Thing as they fight to protect our planet from threats posed by Galactus and Silver Surfer.
In a conversation with The Hollywood Reporter, Quinn (previously vying for the role of Spider-Man but now known as Johnny Storm/Human Torch) expressed his hopes for collaborating with Tom Holland within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This is because, in the comics, their characters, Spider-Man and Johnny Storm, share a close friendship.
The actor expressed enthusiasm about the pairing, praising the individual as exceptionally talented. He mentioned that they’d likely have a good time together, as he hasn’t met this person before but admires their work immensely. In his opinion, the person playing Peter Parker is outstanding and is the best Spider-Man yet. So, he’s open to the collaboration and ready to proceed with the project.
At the red carpet event for The Fantastic Four, Joseph Quinn expresses his eagerness about potentially working alongside Tom Holland in upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe collaborations.

In the movie, Kirby, playing Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, shared insights about her experience, since she’s expecting her first baby in real life and her character is portrayed as a mother on screen too.
It’s quite unusual for me, and an incredibly poignant aspect of this film is that Sue, who is a main character, spends a significant portion of it pregnant, giving birth, and caring for a newborn while dealing with an enormous cosmic crisis threatening humanity. Despite her maternal responsibilities, she never steps back but instead remains fully involved. I believe this makes her stronger, and the experience of motherhood taught me a great deal about its immense power. I hope that her portrayal in the comics and on screen accurately reflects this.” (Kirby explained)
As a gamer, I’ve taken on many roles, but none quite like playing a mother figure in The Fantastic Four. Here are some insights I’ve gathered that resonate with my own journey as a mom-to-be:
1. Patience is key – Raising a superhero isn’t easy and requires endless amounts of patience. Just like in gaming, you need to be ready for the unexpected challenges, adapt your strategies, and remain calm under pressure.
2. Trust is essential – Building trust with my on-screen family taught me that communication and empathy are vital when working together towards a common goal. In both gaming and parenting, trust lays the foundation for success.
3. Emotional resilience matters – Playing a mother in The Fantastic Four has shown me that I can handle whatever life throws at me. From heartbreaking moments to intense battles, emotional resilience is crucial for both gamers and moms.
4. Strength comes from love – Protecting my family has made me realize that the strength of a mother knows no bounds. It’s the unconditional love we have for our kids that enables us to face any challenge head-on, just like how gamers conquer difficult levels with determination and heart.
5. Cherish the small victories – Watching my superhero family grow and learn has reminded me to celebrate each small victory, as these moments of progress are what make the journey truly rewarding. Similarly, in gaming, we should appreciate every level-up or quest completed, as they bring us one step closer to our ultimate goal.
6. Empowerment is contagious – Playing a character who embodies strength and empowerment has shown me that I too can be a source of inspiration for those around me. As gamers, we have the power to influence others positively, so let’s embrace our roles as leaders and mentors.— The Hollywood Reporter (@THR) July 22, 2025
Julia Garner, known for portraying the highly anticipated Silver Surfer character, playfully remarked that the team “made me seem a lot more stylish than I truly am” with their special effects. She added, “I’ve never tackled acting like this before, and I believe it’s crucial for an actor to experiment with various techniques and learn what succeeds and what doesn’t. I had a blast working on this project, making it an exhilarating experience. If given the opportunity, I would certainly do it again.
