As a seasoned gamer and an ardent fan of ’80s pop culture, I must say, the JOURNAL STANDARD x Ghostbusters collection has me spellbound! Growing up with the original movie, these sweatshirts evoke nostalgia like no other. They’re designed to look like rare finds from a bygone era, and that vintage charm is simply irresistible.
Journal Standard unveiled a Ghostbusters line inspired by the classic 80’s film, featuring premium sweatshirts that embody the timeless appeal of the era. The collection is crafted to give an authentic vintage look, making each piece seem like a scarcely found Ghostbusters sweatshirt from 1984.
The series initiates with a classic black sweatshirt showcasing the iconic Ghostbusters emblem from the film, coupled with a quote: “Are You A God? What Do You Want?” A slime-inspired version of the logo follows, where the no symbol transitions from bold, vibrant red to a slimy, murky green. The Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man reappears, depicted on another sweatshirt causing chaos in the city with the words: “Roast Him.”
The traditional design of the logo sweatshirt comes in a white version, where the logo is positioned at the front and the phrase “What Do You Want” is printed at the back with the logo included. Unlike other sweatshirts which are either black or white, this collection concludes with one that sports a teal color. The front showcases the slime logo, while the back features Slimer, another iconic character from the movie, in all his messy splendor.
You can now pre-order the Ghostbusters collection from the Journal Standard, which is due for delivery around mid-September 2024. Each item in the collection costs approximately $100.89 USD or ¥15,180 JPY.
