Plot
Five years following the events of Jurassic World Dominion, dinosaurs face survival challenges across various climates, with the exception of the equatorial zones. A pharmaceutical firm, headed by Martin Krebs (Rupert Friend), recruits a covert operative, Zora (Scarlett Johansson), and medical professional Henry (Jonathan Bailey) to retrieve DNA samples from three gigantic dinosaurs on an abandoned island. Duncan (Mahershala Ali), who serves as Zora’s trusted commander, navigates their vessel during this mission.
As they journey, the team comes across a stranded family at sea. Meanwhile, Zora and her companions encounter menacing dinosaurs while gathering DNA specimens on an island. Simultaneously, the shipwrecked family, having separated from the main group, attempts to seek assistance on their own.
Is it possible that Zora and her team will manage to obtain the DNA samples they seek? To learn what became of the stranded family, tune in to Jurassic World: Rebirth.
What Works for Jurassic World: Rebirth
Jurassic World: Rebirth aspires to captivate audiences universally, and it succeeds admirably. The filmmakers strive to offer an enjoyable and thrilling journey, and their dedication is evident throughout. The visuals are breathtaking, featuring lush jungles, mysterious islands, and colossal dinosaurs that appear remarkably lifelike.
As a lifestyle enthusiast, I must say that the exhilarating dinosaur combat sequences in this movie are truly a spectacle to behold. The boat attack episode and river chase scenes were particularly pulse-pounding! Scarlett Johansson’s charisma certainly elevates the film’s allure. The pacing is spot-on, never dragging or becoming monotonous. In essence, it’s an entertaining cinematic experience that dinosaur action fans won’t want to miss. If you’re looking for a thrilling ride filled with dino chaos without getting too lost in the story details, this movie is just what the doctor ordered!
What Doesn’t Work for Jurassic World: Rebirth
In simpler terms, “Rebirth” doesn’t offer anything new. The plot is similar to previous Jurassic Park films, making it predictable and unsurprising. Even the post-climax scene in an abandoned facility lacks depth and potential for a surprising twist, which is disappointing.
After seven dinosaur movies, the initial surprise has diminished; the wonder of witnessing these prehistoric beasts is gradually waning. To ensure a triumphant conclusion for this upcoming trilogy, the series requires a daring and unforeseen twist.

Performances in Jurassic World: Rebirth
As an ardent admirer, I must say that each cast member delivers remarkable performances that leave a lasting impression. Scarlett Johansson brings a gritty authenticity to her character Zora, making me believe she’s truly tough-as-nails. Mahershala Ali effortlessly adds layers of depth to the film with his selfless portrayal of Duncan, leaving me in awe of his talent. Jonathan Bailey’s performance as Dr. Henry is nothing short of brilliant, illuminating every scene he graces with his presence. Lastly, Rupert Friend skillfully embodies the cunning and chilling character of Martin, sending shivers down my spine at every twist and turn.
The stranded family of Reuben (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo), Teresa (Luna Blaise), and Isabella (Audrina Miranda) offer a fresh angle to the narrative. Reuben portrays a fatherly figure that resonates with the audience. Luna Blaise and Audrina Miranda create endearing characters in Teresa and Isabella, respectively. David Iacono, as Teresa’s boyfriend Xavier, infuses humor into the tale. Each actor delivers commendable performances in their roles.
Final Verdict of Jurassic World: Rebirth
As an ardent aficionado, let me tell you, Jurassic World: Rebirth is an exhilarating and visually stunning installment that does not disappoint! The ensemble cast, featuring none other than the remarkable Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali, Jonathan Bailey, and Rupert Friend, breathe life into characters that you can’t help but root for. And, as if that wasn’t enough, the returning family members add an emotional depth that takes this franchise to new heights!
The movie strives to provide fun entertainment, which makes it an enjoyable summer hit. Yet, it doesn’t venture into uncharted territory or bring anything fresh, instead following a conventional plot that feels overly familiar. Its lack of surprising elements and a relatively ordinary ending keep it from achieving greatness.
