DC Studios Is Taking Their Time With a Team-Up Film
After the way the last DC Universe (previously known as the DCEU) concluded, it’s not surprising that James Gunn and Peter Safran are adopting a more measured approach to creating their universe. The studio heads didn’t fully grasp Zack Snyder’s vision for a trilogy of Justice League movies, leading him to depart from the DCEU entirely. His initial Justice League film was only released after several years of fan demands, and the continuity established in Man of Steel and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was eventually abandoned altogether.
This year sees the anticipated arrival of “Superman,” while a new version of “Batman” is also slated for the DC Universe at some point in the future.
