Justin Baldoni Hires Crisis PR Veteran Amid Alleged ‘It Ends With Us’ Rift

As a seasoned gamer with a knack for deciphering behind-the-scenes drama, I find myself intrigued by this unfolding saga of Justin Baldoni and his blockbuster adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s “It Ends With Us.” The recent hiring of crisis manager Melissa Nathan, fresh from the Johnny Depp trial trenches, seems like a strategic move amidst the brewing speculation about an alleged rift between Baldoni and co-star Blake Lively.

In response to the launch of the movie adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s 2016 best-selling book, “It Ends With Us”, Justin Baldoni has taken the step of bringing on board seasoned PR crisis manager, Melissa Nathan, according to information obtained by The Hollywood Reporter.

The news emerged following numerous rumors about a potential disagreement between Baldoni and his fellow cast members like Blake Lively and Hoover, sparked by their absence in joint press events and lack of group photos at the New York premiere on August 6. Furthermore, fans noted that neither Lively, Hoover nor the rest of the cast do not follow Baldoni on Instagram, despite him following them.

Having spent nearly a decade honing my skills under the tutelage of renowned crisis strategist Matthew Hiltzik, I felt it was time to take the leap and launch my own agency. This summer, The Agency Group was born in the heart of New York City. With an extensive background in communications, crisis management, reputation maintenance, personal publicity, and digital team services within the entertainment industry, our team is uniquely equipped to handle a wide range of challenges.

According to various reports, a disagreement occurred between Baldoni and Lively during the post-production phase, resulting in two distinct versions of the film being created. It’s said that Lively asked Shane Reid, an editor known for his work on Deadpool and Wolverine, to edit a version of the movie. However, it’s unclear if any of this edited version was included in the final film, which was credited to editors Oona Flaherty and Robb Sullivan.

As a devoted admirer, I find myself expressing that my recent endorsement for The Agency Group stems from the scrutiny surrounding Baldoni and the discomfort allegedly inflicted upon Lively during filming.

Over the past week, Baldoni has been open about Lively’s significant role in shaping the movie during interviews and promotions. Moreover, he mentioned that he intentionally gave the women control at times while filming, considering the movie is narrated from a woman’s viewpoint and tackles the sensitive topic of domestic violence.

The Agency Group declined THR‘s request for comment.
