The Biebs is setting his boundaries.
Justin Bieber recently shared a private conversation on Instagram with an unidentified individual whom he’s parted ways with, stating that this person doesn’t comprehend the source of his feelings or frustration.
I’ll always express my feelings openly, as disagreements are inherent in relationships. If your discomfort lies with my anger, then perhaps we’re not a good fit,” he stated. “My anger stems from past hurts. Asking someone who has been through trauma to stop being affected by it is unkind.”
“I won’t hide my emotions for anyone; conflicts are an inevitable part of relationships. If your problem is with my anger, then maybe we aren’t compatible,” he wrote. “My anger is a reaction to the pain I’ve experienced. Asking a person who has been traumatized not to react to their trauma is unfair.
The recipient said, “I’m not accustomed to being attacked verbally. I recognize and feel your anger,” to which Bieber responded, “That hurt. Our friendship has now ended. I won’t tolerate a friend labeling my outbursts as attacks. I valued our brief connection. I wasn’t joking when I said I didn’t need you as a friend. I have friends who respect my boundaries.
Later on, the “What Do You Mean?” artist requested the individual to back off and stop bothering him, as they were harassing him.
The following day, Bieber shared a message on Instagram, which read in part: “People continually advise me to heal. Aren’t you thinking if I could mend myself, wouldn’t I have done so by now? I acknowledge my flaws, my anger issues. I’ve spent my entire life attempting to become the person others suggested I should be, only to find it leaves me more exhausted and enraged. The harder I strive for growth, the more self-focused I become. Jesus is the sole individual who keeps me yearning to make my life about others.
His recent strange online actions have prompted the appearance of several new posts, such as the time he streamed live on Instagram rapping to a song with wide-open, worried eyes a few months back, causing his followers to express concern.
Three days prior to Father’s Day last Thursday, the Grammy-winning artist was once more bothered by the paparazzi. A video that has since spread widely online shows photographers swarming his vehicle. Bieber persistently requested them to “back off” and “leave me alone.” When they wished him a “Happy Father’s Day” and continued to snap photos and linger on his property, he retorted: “I am a real father with a real family, and you are right in front of my face.
All I’m asking for is a bit of respect. You seem to misunderstand my frustration as disrespect. My anger stems from feeling disrespected, not because I want to be disrespected and then have it go unchallenged,” he clarified. “It’s not acceptable to push questions at people aggressively, manipulate footage out of context, and use it to harm others. That’s just plain mean.
The Hollywood Reporter has reached out to Bieber’s reps for comment.
