Tanishaa Mukerji mentioned that, much like any ordinary Indian mom, Tanuja placed great emphasis on instilling discipline and good manners in her daughters. Furthermore, she noted, “My family is quite typical within the film industry. My mother is an ordinary woman. On occasion, she would correct us and instill good values in us, while also showing us affection and pampering us. In essence, her approach to parenting involved both setting boundaries and showering us with love.

Looking back at her childhood, Tanishaa Mukerji recalls the excitement she felt every time she watched her mother get ready for work. On numerous occasions, she’d share her dreams with her mother, Tanuja, saying, “Mom, when I grow up, I want to style my hair like this and wear makeup just like you.” Tanishaa disclosed that her mother greatly inspired her ambition to pursue acting.

Additionally, the actress mentioned that while she often went with her mother to film sets, it wasn’t always a pleasant experience for her. “I would accompany my mother on set, but I didn’t like it much because she would cry in many scenes and this made me feel quite distressed,” she explained.
