Looking back, she mentioned that their separation occurred after the release of two of her successful films, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.
Despite being an established figure in the industry and a renowned celebrity at the time, I still found myself struggling to find a place to rent in Mumbai. The actress from Dev.D shared her experience, stating that landlords refused to rent to her due to her single status. At that point, I felt like, “I’m famous; people want to take pictures with me, but they won’t give me a house to live in.
A few months back, Anurag Kashyap showed TopMob around his current residence and shared that it was his ex-wife, Kalki, who discovered the house. He shared exclusively with us, “This was the house we moved into together. When I got married, Kalki found this house. Previously, Shashank Ghosh, the director, owned this property. So, we purchased it from him. Shashank Ghosh often hosted gatherings in this house.
“The director of Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohabbat explained that when he arrived in Mumbai, his primary goal was to break into the film industry. He would have done whatever it took to secure a home. It was Kalki who eventually found this house, and I later moved in here.
As Kalki grappled with difficulties finding a city apartment, Anurag expressed his preference for renting due to its mobility benefits. On the professional side, Kalki recently appeared in Ananya Panday’s series “Kho Gaye Hum Kahan.
