Kalki Koechlin reveals she once wanted to stab a producer for THIS reason: ‘I kind of held myself back’

Actress Kalki Koechlin is highly respected in Bollywood not just for her diverse acting abilities but also for her forthright and fearless views. In a revealing statement, she shared an alarming encounter when a producer proposed she undergo filler treatments for her laugh lines. Reflecting on that time, Kalki confessed her immediate feeling was anger, to the point she considered using a fork to attack him. Yet, she exercised restraint.

In a chat on BBC World Service’s Dear Daughter podcast, the actress known from Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, brought up an angry memory. She reminisced about a lunch conversation with a producer who mentioned his ex, a prominent actress, having excessive botox work. Offhandedly, he also advised her to think about getting minor fillers for her laugh lines.

Kalki Koechlin expressed, “He said something about using a bit of filler for laugh lines. It made me feel like jabbing him with my fork. We were having lunch together, but I managed to restrain myself from doing so.

In my book of life’s little lessons, I always choose laughter over negativity. When someone suggested I might smile less, I simply replied with a chuckle, suggesting that perhaps I should laugh even more! After all, humor is my preferred weapon against any comment that tries to dampen my spirit.

In a contemplative moment, the actress who starred in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara admitted that the experience made her more aware of the stresses related to beauty standards in the world. She further mentioned that by the time she was in her 30s, she had lived enough life to not let such pressures impact her.

Yet, she voiced worries about young females, particularly those in their twenties, as they frequently encounter comparable comments and feel pressured to alter their looks prematurely.

Kalki also voiced her acceptance towards the inevitable changes brought on by growing older, showing faith in celebrating her wrinkles. She disclosed that as she persists with her work in front of the lens, the indicators of aging become increasingly noticeable. Yet, she underscored that she has opted to accept them wholeheartedly. Moreover, she admitted that she feels at ease and content within her own skin.

In her professional life, Kalki Koechlin recently appeared in Vishnuvardhan’s suspenseful drama titled Nesippaya. Prior to that, she was featured in Arjun Varain Singh’s film, Kho Gaye Hum Kahan, where she acted alongside Ananya Panday, Adarsh Gourav, and Siddhant Chaturvedi on screen.
