Kamala Harris and Donald Trump Agree to Participate in Dueling TelevisaUnivision Town Halls

As a Hispanic American who has followed politics closely for years, I am thrilled to see such a significant platform being provided to our community by TelevisaUnivision. The upcoming town halls featuring Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump will undoubtedly give us a unique perspective on the candidates’ positions, especially on issues that matter most to Latinos.

It’s possible that there won’t be another debate featuring Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump, but they have both consented to participate in a notable TV event: Town halls organized by the prominent Spanish-language broadcasting company, TelevisaUnivision.

As a fervent supporter, I’m thrilled to share that both the Trump and Harris campaigns have consented to town hall events next month! The Trump town hall, titled “Latinos Ask… Donald Trump Responds“, is scheduled for Tuesday, October 8th at 10 p.m., taking place in Miami, Florida. On Thursday, October 10th at the same time, the Harris town hall, “Latinos Ask… Kamala Harris Responds“, will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada. Can’t wait for these enlightening discussions!

Televisa’s anchor Enrique Acevedo has been appointed to moderate both the town hall meetings, where the attendees are undecided Hispanic voters.

As a passionate viewer, I’m thrilled to know that Univision and their streaming platform ViX are set to broadcast the upcoming town halls in both versions, with Spanish as the spoken language, while the complete English-language version can be found on the Noticias Univision YouTube channel. This way, no matter which language I prefer, I won’t miss a beat of the insightful discussions!

Noticias Univision acts as a dual connection: we amplify all voices within our community while transmitting the issues that matter to Latinos to those in authority,” said Daniel Coronell, president of Noticios Univision, in a statement. “With over 36 million Hispanics eligible to vote in the U.S., they represent the largest minority group in the country, possessing the potential to impact the election for the White House and shape the nation’s future,” he further explained.

It’s quite likely that the TelevisaUnivision town halls could be the most authentic encounters voters have with the candidates prior to the election, as another debate is currently uncertain. Previously, Harris agreed to participate in a CNN debate, while Trump seemed hesitant about another debate after their initial confrontation.
