Karan Johar and Kartik Aaryan are joining forces for an upcoming romantic movie titled “Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri,” which is being produced by Sameer Vidwans and is currently in production. Recently, the filmmaker shared insights about his collaboration with Kartik Aaryan once again following a past disagreement, discussing their current relationship.
In their recent conversation with Bollywood Hungama, Karan Johar shared that he and Kartik had privately addressed and resolved the issue. “We’ve settled it internally and decided to move forward,” said the director. He also praised Kartik for his dedication as an actor, reaching a broad audience, and being one of the leading stars today.
Karan went on to explain that everyone, including himself, had faced challenges, yet the common goal was to produce quality content and collaborate. He expressed this by saying, “We met, agreed to work together. There were issues between us, but let’s remember, our industry is small and I like to call it a family. Sometimes, disagreements and miscommunications occur within a family, but in the end, good people want to make great movies and combine their efforts to create quality content.
The director emphasized that his perspective encompasses grander ideas, and he prefers not to focus on trivial matters such as these.
Kartik Aaryan and Karan Johar’s fallout and reunion
Initially, Kartik Aryan and Karan Johar were working together on Dostana 2, with Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead. However, production was halted unexpectedly; this pause in filming led to speculation online that there was a dispute between Kartik and KJo. These rumors intensified when Dharma Productions announced they were reconsidering their casting choices for Dostana 2. Now, the movie has moved forward with Lakshya from Uri fame and Vikrant Massey in the leading roles.
Instead, we find that Kjo and Kartik are joining forces for the movie “Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri”, which features Ananya Panday as a co-star. This romantic comedy has been scheduled to hit theaters on the Valentine’s Day weekend in 2026.
