As a dedicated follower of Bollywood, I have always admired Karan Johar for his exceptional storytelling and unique perspective as a filmmaker. However, it’s his personal life that truly resonates with me. His journey to fatherhood through surrogacy is not just a testament to modern family structures but also a beautiful demonstration of love and commitment.
Known filmmaker Karan Johar is currently thriving in his career with two hit films, Kill and Bad Newz, released under his production company. On a personal level, he takes great pride in being the father of twins, Roohi and Yash, who were born via surrogacy in 2017. Lately, Karan posted an Instagram video showing his daughter Roohi having trouble with Apple’s voice assistant, Siri. However, a comment from an internet user questioning Roohi’s mother sparked some conversation, and Karan responded firmly to the query.
In the video posted by Kjo, Roohi is heard telling Siri, “Siri, Siri, I don’t prefer it, please sing a tune correctly in rhythm. Act like a pro, let’s gooo.” The director titled the post as, “Roohi vs Siri…”
In simpler terms, Fardina Tasha was asked by a user, “Who is Roohi’s mother? Can someone help me figure this out?” To which Karan replied, “@FardinaTasha It’s me! I felt concerned about your confusion so I had to answer your important question.”

The video sparked some enjoyable responses from Karan’s famous friends and others too. Kiara Advani and Arjun Kapoor gave it a thumbs up, while Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Manish Malhotra, Ali Fazal, Ayushmann Khurrana, Saba Pataudi, and Maheep Kapoor responded with laughing emojis.

Recently, I had the pleasure of hearing Karan Johar open up about an extraordinary topic during his chat with Faye D’Souza on her YouTube channel. As a devoted fan, I was thrilled to learn that he shared insights into the unusual circumstances surrounding his family, specifically about how his children have started asking questions regarding their birth. His family, as he described, is contemporary and unique in this aspect.
Karan shared that his kids are now questioning things like, “Who was my birth mother?” and they’ve discovered that their biological grandmother is actually referred to as ‘Mumma’. He mentioned he’s seeking advice from the school counselor about how best to address these questions, acknowledging that parenting is always challenging.
Currently, in terms of work, Karan’s production company has a number of upcoming projects. These include “Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumar,” starring Janhvi Kapoor and Varun Dhawan, “Call Me Bae” with Ananya Panday, and “Dhadak 2” featuring Triptii Dimri and Siddhant Chaturvedi.
