18 years ago, we were introduced to the Kardashian-Jenner family on their reality show, and oh, what a journey it’s been! Marriages, divorces, births, heated sibling rivalries, and even an earring lost at sea – we’ve witnessed it all. Not to mention, the significant changes in their appearances due to cosmetic surgeries. While some of these celebrities have openly discussed their procedures, this video made me realize just how extensive the transformations have been by showing their pre-surgery and current faces side by side.
A video has gone viral on Instagram showing the Kardashian-Jenner women both pre- and post-”cosmetic treatments.” A promo image from The Kardashians (whose sixth season just wrapped on the 2025 TV schedule and can be streamed with a Hulu subscription) shows the five sisters and matriarch Kris Jenner in their current facial states. A wand is waved over them, one-by-one, showing what they used to look like, and the changes are pretty drastic! Check it out:

Some transformations are more striking than others, such as the changes made by Khloé Kardashian and Kylie Jenner. Khloé has openly expressed her fondness for her nose job and has also acknowledged getting fillers. Kylie’s lips have been a topic of public interest for over a decade now; she began using lip fillers at 16, although she initially denied it. It can be challenging to distinguish between natural and cosmetic alterations in Kylie’s case due to her young age in the “before” photo.
Just like in my case, Kendall Jenner has also maintained that she hasn’t undergone plastic surgery, attributing her enhanced appearance to makeup. Since both the Jenners were still young teens when “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” first aired, it’s understandable that their transformations might not be surprising to us.
As a film enthusiast, I must say that even I was taken aback by the transformation in Kourtney Kardashian, the eldest of the sisters. It’s not just about her apparent cosmetic surgery denials leading to noticeable changes on her face; it’s also the fact that she seems least concerned about such matters among her siblings. Despite confessing to having and later regretting breast implants, Kourtney swiftly defended herself when a fan accused her of undergoing procedures like Botox, a nose job, Brazilian butt lift, and more.

Additionally, we have the renowned duo of Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner. It’s quite apparent that they’ve had some assistance in their appearance. Kim herself humorously addressed this topic during her monologue on Saturday Night Live, jesting that she was more than just the “photograph that her sisters use to guide their plastic surgeons.
As an ardent fan, I can’t help but notice the striking transformations within the Kardashian-Jenner clan. While Kim may be coy about her cosmetic enhancements, her momager, Kris Jenner, has always been candid. She’s openly discussed her procedures on their reality shows, including breast augmentation and facelifts, not to mention Botox, fillers, a laser earlobe reduction, and more. It’s fascinating to see how openness about these matters can contribute to the family’s public image.
As a movie buff, I must admit, it’s jaw-dropping to witness the remarkable transformation of the Kardashian-Jenners in this video. Given their access to resources and societal expectations of beauty, it’s not surprising that they might have made some adjustments. Yet, the extent of these transformations still manages to leave me in awe.
Previously mentioned, part of those differences can be attributed to the passing of time and various makeup methods. It’s important to note that the “after” photo from The Kardashians series might have been digitally altered (photoshopped), which could make the apparent changes even more pronounced.
