Kareena Kapoor’s son Taimur’s pediatric nurse admits she has the right to get ‘paid like the PM’: 'We only get a break like for 1 or 2 hours'

As a lifestyle expert with a deep appreciation for the intricacies of high-profile family dynamics, I find Lalita DSilva’s perspective both captivating and thought-provoking. Her eight years of dedicated service to Kareena Kapoor Khan’s children, Jeh and Taimur Ali Khan, as well as Anant Ambani and now Klin Kaara, the daughter of Upasana and Ram Charan, provide a unique window into the lives of India’s most affluent families.

As a dedicated caregiver for eight years to Kareena Kapoor Khan’s children Jeh and Taimur Ali Khan, as well as Anant Ambani and now Klin Kaara, daughter of Upasana and Ram Charan, I have found myself in a unique position. Recently, I compared my salary to that of India’s Prime Minister and felt it was justified. After all, with breaks only coming for an hour or two at best, it feels right for us to earn such substantial compensation.

As a lifestyle advisor speaking candidly, I can share an insightful conversation I had with India Today, discussing the unique circumstances of caring for Taimur and Jeh. In this role, I often found my earnings compared to our nation’s esteemed Prime Minister, which, in jest, I admit I would relish.

The role she outlined was demanding, particularly since it involved watching over a prominent family’s child who needed close monitoring. She also mentioned that her vigilance is consistently high, as she typically wakes up 4-5 times at night and catches sleep only when the child is with the mother. Otherwise, she stays fully awake and focused.

She pointed out that her job demands constant work, even on holidays, in contrast to corporate executives who enjoy regular business hours and weekends off. She emphasized that while she spends important holidays like Diwali and Christmas working, she is missing time with her own family, which suggests she deserves a similar compensation package.

Lalita shared that her relatives often commented on how her salary was greater than the Prime Minister’s, to which she would reply with a hopeful statement like “I wish.” She highlighted that unlike top executives who follow a set schedule, her job demands her to be perpetually alert and available.

Previously, during an open conversation with TopMob’s Hindi Rush, Lalita was inquired about her income while taking care of famous children. She expressed a hopeful sentiment, saying, “If it’s Rs 2.5 lakh, I certainly hope so.” She further stated, “May your words become reality (implying that her wish will come true). These are just rumors.”

Back in the beautiful autumn of 2012, I was fortunate enough to tie the knot with the exceptional Saif Ali Khan. Over the years, we’ve been blessed with two incredible sons – Taimur Ali Khan, who made his grand entrance into our world in 2016, and Jehangir Ali Khan, affectionately known as Jeh, who joined us more recently in 2021.
