In April, it will be four years since the re-launch of “Mortal Kombat” hit both cinemas and Max subscribers. Approximately six months later, the much-anticipated “Mortal Kombat 2” is set to debut in 2025. One of the many new cast members joining the sequel is Karl Urban as Johnny Cage, a role hinted at in the end of the initial film. Now, we get our first glimpse of Urban portraying this iconic Mortal Kombat character, and I must say, the accompanying witty puns are top-notch!
Just as his video game persona mirrors reality, Johnny Cage portrayed by Urban will be a bona fide Hollywood star. Consequently, it’s only appropriate that our initial glimpse at this version of the character arrives in the form of an official movie poster from Warner Bros. Pictures. Here’s your first peek at how Urban transforms into Cage, and don’t forget to glance through the movies mentioned on the billboard.
