If you share my fashion struggles, choosing an outfit when leaving the house can be tough. And if you’re a celebrity attending glamorous public events, making a well-dressed impression becomes even more important through careful consideration, preparation, and planning. Just like Kat Dennings, who recently shared a witty yet totally understandable comment on her fashion choices that’s both amusing and relatable.
What 2 Broke Girls Admission Did Kat Dennings Just Make?
In the future, the 2025 TV lineup will include Season 2 of “Shifting Gears,” but Kat Dennings has been reminiscing about the past. Lately, she sparked excitement among fans by posing with Captain America’s shield and hinting at a possible comeback to her beloved MCU character, Darcy. To add to the buzz, she recently visited Avengers Campus at Disneyland, which held some unexpected surprises for her.
However, the star (who’s now playing a mom for the first time on her ABC comedy with Tim Allen) took to Instagram recently to share a memory from her previous hit sitcom, 2 Broke Girls, which ran on CBS for six seasons. In her post, we see Dennings with co-star Beth Behrs at the People’s Choice Awards in 2012, and while both look great, the WandaVision talent had a secret about the moment to tell fans, saying in the caption:
It’s been long enough for me to confess that the dress I planned to wear to this event wouldn’t zip, so I quickly grabbed another one from my closet, which I had purchased at Loehmann’s just minutes before leaving home. Miss you, Loehmann’s!
Oh dear, isn’t that a situation we can all relate to? You’ve picked out an outfit perfectly for an upcoming event, only to find yourself in a predicament when it’s time to wear it. Maybe the seam bursts, the zipper breaks, it doesn’t fit as well as you recall or just doesn’t look quite right on you…the list goes on. At times like these, it’s necessary to swiftly switch gears and opt for a last-minute Fashion Contingency Plan B. In her case, this is what she ended up wearing:

Fortunately, the actress adored by live audiences had a chic yet straightforward ensemble prepared. It seemed to be a classic black wrap dress, and I must admit, I believe Max Black would endorse dressing up any outfit from budget retailers like Loehmann’s (which shut down all its stores in 2014). Behrs, who will conclude her tenure on The Neighborhood along with her co-stars when Season 8 concludes, also expressed her thoughts about her evening attire and added:
Actually, what I intended to mention as part of this discussion was a wig, but unfortunately, it wasn’t. Instead, it was simply the state of my hair on that particular night.
Occasionally, we unintentionally reveal our own truths, and I believe Behrs did exactly that in this instance. To be honest, I wouldn’t have given it much thought regarding her hairstyle, but after learning she thinks it appears fake-looking, well, she has a point! In fact, this situation underscores the ability we all share to create stylish outfits quickly, but it’s completely normal to stumble now and then when going out in public.
