Kate Spade New York’s colorful world is coming to Target.

On Saturday, April 12th, starting from 12 a.m. Pacific Time/3 a.m. Eastern Time, the eagerly awaited collaboration between the playful fashion label and the widespread retailer will be available online at target.com. Most Target stores will also carry the collection when they open their doors. This partnership is Target’s largest to date, with items priced from as low as $5 for candles to a high of $300 for a stylish women’s bike. The collection encompasses women’s, children’s, and baby clothing; handbags and accessories; home goods and entertaining essentials; party supplies; and more. Over half of the assortment retails for less than $15. In comparison, the brand’s regular bags typically cost between $150 and $400.

Kate Spade, previously an editor at Mademoiselle accessories, launched her self-titled brand in 1993 and gained fame for her stylish and whimsical handbags. In 2007, she parted ways with her namesake brand, which had been acquired by the Neiman Marcus Group (then called Liz Claiborne Inc.) a year prior. In 2016, she teamed up with her best friend Elyce Arons to create Frances Valentine, a high-end women’s clothing line. Arons is set to publish a book about their friendship on June 17. Tragically, Spade took her own life in 2018. She was the aunt of Emmy-winning actress Rachel Brosnahan and the sister-in-law of actor David Spade.
