When Katrina Kaif didn’t like THIS about Vijay Sethupathi

Director Sriram Raghavan recounted that during the filming of Merry Christmas, Katrina Kaif initially resisted Vijay Sethupathi’s introduction of fresh ideas on set. According to Raghavan, Katrina had arrived at the shoot with a clear plan based on earlier discussions.

Filmmaker speaks highly of Katrina’s dedication: She works tirelessly and delves deeply into every scene, discussing its intricacies at length. In contrast, Vijay brings a relaxed approach. He proposes creative alternatives for his character’s lines or actions, which the filmmaker encourages.

Despite finding themselves at an impasse initially, Katrina and Vijay eventually reached a compromise and came to appreciate each other’s perspectives. The director was captivated by their newfound connection, labeling it enchanting.

Regarding Maharaja, the movie features actors such as Mamta Mohandas, Natarajan Subramaniam, Abhirami Gopikumar, Singampuli, Aruldoss, and others. Nithilan Swaminathan both directed and co-wrote the script with Raam Murali. The film premiered on June 14, 2024.

The 50th film of Sethupathi, titled “Maharaja,” became available for streaming on Netflix starting July 12.
