Ke Huy Quan, the winner of the Academy Award for his role in A24’s “Everything Everywhere All at Once,” has agreed to be represented by WME across all fields.
The actor was previously with UTA, signing with the agency in mid-2023 after his Oscar win.
In the 1980s, Quan gained fame as a child actor, first appearing alongside Harrison Ford in Steven Spielberg’s Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, and later starring in the iconic ’80s film The Goonies. However, acting opportunities became scarce for him as he grew older, so for a long time, he focused on creating action choreography instead.
In 2022, he came back in a big way on screen with the unexpected success “Everything Everywhere,” which also turned out to be an underdog favorite at the Oscars. His heartfelt portrayal of a husband yearning to reconnect with his wife won him an Academy Award, Golden Globe Award, Critics Choice Award, Independent Spirit Award, Gotham Award, and multiple regional, national, and international critics group awards for exceptional supporting performance.
As a gamer, I’m ecstatic to share that I made history by becoming the first Asian male to clinch a SAG Award in the best supporting actor category for film, an achievement I carry with immense pride. The movie Everything Everywhere, a phenomenal piece of work, was not only the most honored picture at the 95th Oscars but also A24’s highest-grossing film ever, surpassing the $100 million mark at the global box office. It’s an incredible journey that I feel privileged to be a part of!
The performer has been keeping quite occupied lately, landing a part in the second season of Marvel’s Disney+ show titled “Loki”, receiving a nomination for the Critics’ Choice Award in the category of best supporting actor in a drama series, and also featuring in another Disney+ series known as “American Born Chinese”.
From the pinnacle of this spectacular year, I’ve been fortunate enough to grace screens, beginning with my electrifying action hero role in the highly anticipated “Love Hurts,” produced by Universal Pictures and 87North. Co-starring Ariana DeBose and Daniel Wu, this captivating film is all set to premiere on February 7, 2025. I can hardly wait!
Apart from that, he’ll make an appearance in the Russo Brothers’ upcoming sci-fi film titled “The Electric State,” scheduled for a worldwide release on March 14. Additionally, he will lend his voice to a character in Disney’s upcoming sequel, “Zootopia 2,” which is slated to premiere on Nov 26.
In addition, Quan is working on a high-octane action thriller that’s currently in the works. He will be appearing in “Fairytale in New York”, a project being developed by Lionsgate with Jalmari Helander, director of “Sisu”, set to direct.
The actor continues to be repped by Cohen & Gardner and Narrative.
