Keanu Reeves Parts Ways With Longtime Manager (Exclusive)

According to several reports from The Hollywood Reporter, Keanu Reeves is no longer working with his long-term talent representative.

Keanu Reeves, who is famously known for his roles in “John Wick” and “The Matrix,” was previously represented by Meredith Wechter at Range Media Partners. According to insiders, Reeves has made several adjustments to his business operations, and one of these recent changes includes switching management.

Keanu isn’t just a remarkable actor, he’s truly unique as a person too. I hope all the best for him, and I’m incredibly proud of the incredible changes we’ve brought about in our collaboration over the last nine years,” Wechter expresses.

This year, Wechter departed from Sugar23, Michael Sugar’s management company, to join the team at Range. Prior to this, he was an agent at ICM and later WME. The distinguished client roster at Range is managed by the partner, which includes Josh Gad, Jeremy Strong, Diane Lane, and Gabriel Basso from “Night Agent”, alongside numerous other notable individuals.

On the representation front, it’s reported that Reeves continues to be associated with a group at WME, a relationship that started in 2016 following his departure from CAA. Additionally, he remains under the legal guidance of attorney Scott Sims at Ziffren Brittenham.

This year, Reeves reappeared in the world of “Wick” (the Wick-verse), playing a role in the movie “Ballerina”, which stars Ana de Armas and has earned $132 million worldwide since its release in June. He is also set to appear in “Good Fortune”, a film directed by Aziz Ansari, another Lionsgate production that will premiere at the Toronto Film Festival in September.

He’s agreed to come back for projects linked to the John Wick series, such as the fifth movie in the franchise directed by Chad Stahelski and an animated prequel, plus he’s collaborating once more with Sandra Bullock from their Speed days on a romantic thriller without a title at Amazon MGM, written by Noah Oppenheim. Additionally, he will act in Justin Lin’s Netflix adaptation of BRZRKR, the comic that Reeves co-created for Boom! Studios, which is about an eternal warrior.
