Kelsey Grammer Confirms 'Conversations' About Beast Return After The Marvels

As a lifelong movie buff who’s seen his fair share of mutant mayhem, I can hardly contain my excitement about the potential return of Kelsey Grammer‘s Beast in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Grammer’s portrayal of Hank McCoy was universally praised, even if the movies he appeared in didn’t quite hit the mark. But who cares about that now? We’re talking about Beast!

As a film enthusiast, I’ve been eagerly awaiting updates on Kelsey Grammer’s Beast in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Despite keeping rather tight-lipped about Beast’s future, Grammer has recently dropped hints that we might see more of this beloved X-Men member. You may recall that I donned the fur and claws as Hank McCoy, aka Beast, in 2006’s X-Men: The Last Stand, a film that didn’t quite live up to expectations. However, my portrayal of Beast was generally well-received by both critics and fans alike. I also made a brief appearance as Beast at the end of X-Men: Days of Future Past in 2014. Most recently, I reprised the role in the post-credits scene of a film in 2023, this time in a CGI format. So, while we wait for official announcements, let’s keep our fingers crossed for more Beast action in the MCU!

Grammer discussed with Comicbook about Frasier season two and the possible future of Beast in the MCU, but he couldn’t share information. However, he did mention there have been talks. He also expressed happiness regarding the enthusiastic reception to his cameo.

I can’t discuss much at the moment. However, when I appeared towards the end of ‘The Marvels’, it seemed like quite a significant reaction ensued. The response wasn’t entirely unexpected, but it was intense – almost too much to handle. As a result, there have been numerous discussions taking place.

In the post-credit sequence, Monica Rambeau (played by Teyonah Paris) awoke to find herself in a different world where her mother, Maria Rambeau (Lashana Lynch), was alive and working alongside the X-Men. However, this Maria Rambeau is not actually Monica’s mother, but rather the superhero Binary. It remains uncertain if Monica Rambeau has entered the same Fox X-Men Universe as seen in Deadpool & Wolverine (Earth-10005) or if she’s now in an alternate universe that shares some characteristics with the previous X-Men film continuity. This development wouldn’t be surprising since Patrick Stewart reprised his role as Professor X from Earth-838 in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Additionally, Hugh Jackman played multiple versions of Wolverine in Deadpool & Wolverine, with the films’ Wolverine hailing from another X-Men timeline.

Secret Wars.” This film will be based on the 2015 comic series “Secret Wars,” where different universes in the Marvel Multiverse merged into a single reality called Battleworld. Characters like Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, and possibly both Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man might be part of this storyline. Additionally, there could be connections between the post-credit scene in “The Marvels” and “The Fantastic Four: First Steps,” and it’s possible that Beast, played by Grant Gustin, could appear in the latter movie too.

As a die-hard Marvel fan, I can’t help but imagine Grammer’s Beast joining forces with some of the brightest minds in the Marvel Universe – folks like Mister Fantastic, Phastos, Bruce Banner, and even the enigmatic Doctor Doom – to shield the multiverse from impending doom. This intriguing scenario could potentially unfold as the plot for “Doctor Strange 3,” where our sorcerer supreme would gather his own take on the Illuminati, modeled after the powerful council I glimpsed in Earth-838. With brains like these, we’d need a genius like Grammer’s Beast to help save the day.
