The renowned Ford F-150 “Hoonitruck,” famously driven by the late racing icon Ken Block, will be up for bidding without a minimum price at the 2025 Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Auction, taking place from January 18th to the 26th at WestWorld of Scottsdale.
The “Hoonitruck”, a vehicle designed by Block and Hoonigan Racing Division in partnership with Detroit Speed, was specifically built for Block’s Gymkhana TEN video. In this video, it tore through asphalt and outmaneuvered camera angles on Route 66 in Shamrock, Texas. Subsequently, it featured in Climbkhana TWO, scaling the challenging Tianmen Mountain highway in China.
Beneath its exterior, this vehicle houses an impressive 914 horsepower twin-turbo 3.5L EcoBoost V6 engine, coupled with a unique all-wheel-drive system tailored to it. Above the engine, a one-of-a-kind, 3D-printed intake manifold designed by Ford Performance stands proudly, with twin turbochargers on either side, adding to the truck’s intimidating posture.
Apart from its potent engine setup, the “Hoonitruck” also showcases a racing-style cabin adorned with Bosch Motorsports components, personalized controls, and Ford Sync compatibility. Its unique wheels, fitted with Toyo tires, guarantee optimal traction for high-performance moves that could potentially wear out tires.
As a devoted admirer, I’d put it this way: “Ken Block wasn’t just a trailblazer in the world of motorsports; he was also an innovator when it came to automobile design. The ‘Hoonitruck’, in my eyes, embodies his enduring legacy – a relentless pursuit of boundaries and a unique reinterpretation of performance artistry.
Reminiscent of Block’s youthful recollections of his father’s 1977 Ford F-150, the “Hoonitruck” serves as a heartfelt homage to family tradition, automotive enthusiasm, and mechanical prowess. This unique vehicle is set to be auctioned off without a minimum bid and with no initial estimate disclosed.
