As a dedicated gamer and music enthusiast, I can confidently say that 2024 was a monumental year for hip-hop and R&B music, with Kendrick Lamar taking the crown as the undisputed king of the charts. Having grown up listening to his powerful lyrics and innovative beats, it’s been an incredible journey witnessing his continued success and evolution as an artist. With three No. 1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 and a record-breaking five songs on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs Chart, Kendrick has solidified his status as a true legend in the game.
To make things even more exciting, I can hardly wait for his upcoming co-headlining “Grand National Tour” with SZA. As a fan who’s been eagerly anticipating their joint performances, I already have my tickets booked for the Minneapolis show – can’t miss that one!
Now, if only Kendrick could find a way to collaborate with my favorite gaming developers and drop some epic beats in the next Grand Theft Auto soundtrack. That would be the ultimate crossover event for me, blending my two greatest passions! And hey, who knows? Maybe he’ll even give us a sneak peek of his new album during the tour – talk about a dream come true!
2024 was truly a phenomenal year for me, as I claimed the title of Billboard Hot 100’s top-charting artist, racking up the most No. 1 hits! What an incredible feeling it was to lead the pack in such a prestigious chart.
It has been verified that the pgLang artist recorded a grand total of three number one hits last year, among them being “Like That” featuring Future and Metro Boomin, the track “squabble up” from GNX, and “Not Like Us,” which was not only another hit but also the most popular song in the United States in 2024. It shattered several streaming records.
Furthermore, Dot managed to create history on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs Chart by spending three consecutive weeks at No. 1 with “Squabble up,” “TV off,” and “Luther” alongside SZA. In all, he achieved five number-one hits on this chart in the year 2024, breaking a record for the most songs to reach the top spot during a single calendar year.
The artist is set to embark on a joint tour titled “Grand National Tour” with SZA starting from April 2025. This tour will span across 23 performances, commencing on April 19 at Minneapolis’ Bank Stadium and concluding on June 18 in Landover.
Kendrick Lamar ends the year as the artist with the most #1 hits on the Hot 100 in 2024 (3).
