As a longtime fan of Kenny Mason, I must say his latest surprise drop, “Angel Eyes,” has me absolutely thrilled! Coming fresh off a stellar performance at Camp Flog Gnaw and with a supporting role on Denzel Curry’s Mischievous South tour, it seems there’s no stopping this Atlanta rapper.
After performing at Camp Flog Gnaw, Kenny Mason has unexpectedly released a long-form track called “Angel Eyes“. This latest impromptu mixtape from the Atlanta rapper comes out following announcements about his role as support act for Denzel Curry’s Mischievous South world tour, set to start in February.
In a compact duration of around 30 minutes and boasting nine distinct tracks, the revamped version of Angel Eyes by Mason showcases his unique blend of hip-hop and rock sounds. This fresh edition encompasses eight newly produced songs, along with one that was previously released – “HOODRAT”, which became available earlier this month.
In addition to his electric, genre-blending playlist, Mason has also unveiled the latest video for this project. This self-directed piece, titled “INTUITION”, takes inspiration from “The Dark Knight”. In the black and white video, Mason is seen imitating The Joker’s actions as he leans out of a moving car’s window.
Angel Eyes signifies Mason’s second album this year, wrapping up his 3,6, 9 release sequence with the nine-track album 9, which was unveiled in March as the concluding part.
