Kenzo and Verdy Introduce Trio of Characters for Nostalgic Holiday Collection

As a long-time fan of both Kenzo and Verdy, I must say this collaboration has been a dream come true! Growing up in Tokyo, I remember the vibrant energy that Verdy’s art brought to the city streets, and the unique blend of cultures that Kenzo embodies has always resonated with me. The Kenzo Verdy Market collection is like a perfect fusion of my two favorite worlds!

As a gaming enthusiast, I’ve been eagerly awaiting the full release after catching a sneak peek at their collaboration in Kenzo’s SS25 presentation. At long last, the Parisian fashion label led by Nigo, known as Kenzo, has officially revealed its collaborative collection with Japanese artist Verdy – the Kenzo Verdy Market. This holiday-themed line brings to life three unique characters, each embodying Verdy’s daring interpretation of Kenzo’s distinctive design philosophy.

In Verdy’s vintage aesthetic, we find Winky the Tiger, Deezy the Flower, and Bimpy the Elephant. The designer’s unique typography forms the Kenzo Paris logo horizontally. The collection layers knitwear and robust jersey pieces, such as a cardigan styled like a varsity jacket, adorned with a large back applique of Winky the Tiger. Additionally, pullovers crafted through intarsia showcase the mascots in Santa hats, while work jackets are presented in black and indigo denim, featuring embroideries of the characters on their backsides.

To make the design more vibrant, some Kenzo t-shirts and hoodies showcase a fresh Kenzo logo embedded amidst a red and gold Christmas poinsettia pattern. For those who prefer a subtler look, there are options with a small mascot icon on the front. The accessory lineup includes minimalist logo cap styles in festive colors, along with mascot wallets and keychains made of leather.

A collection of nostalgic items is perfect for gifting or personal keepsakes for fans of Nigo and Verdy. These vintage ceramic mugs show off snow-covered block lettering, similar to that on the hoodies. Noteworthy home items include a Deezy the Flower snowglobe, as well as blankets and rugs featuring the circular Kenzo tiger insignia in a style reminiscent of Verdy.

On November 19, the Kenzo Verdy Market collection will only be available for purchase on Kenzo’s official website. Starting from November 20, it can also be found at selected Kenzo stores and partner retailers.
