The highly anticipated sequel to Kesari, a historical drama, is almost here! In the lead-up to its cinema release, stars Akshay Kumar, Ananya Panday, and R. Madhavan recently visited Jallianwala Bagh as a mark of respect for the victims of the tragic massacre that occurred there. Singer B Praak was also present at the event and performed the song Teri Mitti from the 2019 film Kesari.
On April 16, 2025, the creators of the upcoming film Kesari Chapter 2 posted a video from their team’s recent trip to Jallianwala Bagh in Amritsar. In the video, Akshay Kumar, Ananya Panday, and R. Madhavan were spotted laying floral tributes at the memorial, paying respects to the victims.
As an ardent admirer, I can’t help but share my exhilarating experience at the event where the dynamic trio engaged with the audience, opening up about their movie journey. It was a star-studded occasion graced by none other than Gurpreet Ghuggi, Gurdas Maan, B Praak, and C. Sankaran Nair’s great-grandson, Raghu Palat. In an emotional outpouring, Akshay, feeling the circle of life, shared that he had tales about Jallianwala Bagh from his father and grandfather, and now, he has brought this story to life on the big screen through this film.

On April 18, 2025, Kesari Chapter 2: The Hidden Chronicles of Jallianwala Bagh will hit theaters. This movie is helmed by newcomer Karan Singh Tyagi in his directorial debut.
