As a long-time Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) fan, I’m thrilled to hear that Kevin Feige is considering the return of Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man and Chris Evans’ Captain America in upcoming MCU projects, specifically in the “Deadpool & Wolverine” film. Feige’s recent interview with DiscussingFilm brought a wave of excitement among fans as he discussed the potential comeback of these iconic characters.
In a recent conversation with DiscussingFilm, Kevin Feige mentioned during an interview that Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine will appear in the upcoming Deadpool & Wolverine film. This revelation came as a shock to fans, as Feige hinted at the possibility of bringing back Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man or Chris Evans’ Captain America in the MCU.
Feige discussed the challenge of bringing back Downey and Evans after their departures from the Marvel universe following “Avengers: Endgame,” and Wolverine after his death was depicted in “Logan.” He stated, “The secret is to continue what’s been established while making it fresh and exciting. For Wolverine, we’ve spent over two years figuring out how to do that. As for the future, only time will tell. We’re confident we’ve found a way to bring Wolverine back, as evidenced by Hugh Jackman’s role in ‘Deadpool & Wolverine.’ With careful planning, it can be done effectively.”
Whether this will still hold true in the future is yet to be determined. The film “Deadpool & Wolverine” is set to hit theaters on July 26.
