As a lifelong admirer of Akshay Kumar, I must say that his journey in Bollywood is nothing short of inspiring. From humble beginnings as a waiter in Delhi to becoming one of India’s most successful actors, he has truly earned his stardom. It’s disheartening to see some people passing judgments on him based on a few recent box-office failures.
Akshay Kumar has been under scrutiny due to a series of flops at the movie theater. However, his latest release “Khel Khel Mein” is still showing in cinemas. Meanwhile, director Mudassar Aziz commended Akshay, criticizing those who judge him based on recent setbacks. In fact, Mudassar praised Akshay for his remarkable career path.
In a recent conversation with Siddharth Kannan, film director Mudassar Aziz defended Akshay Kumar against criticism following his recent setbacks. Despite not feeling it was appropriate for him to speak on behalf of the actor, he dismissed the negative comments as largely unfounded. He suggested that those who criticize Akshay lack the qualifications to do so.
The director mentioned that Kumar has been in the industry for 33 years and responsible for happy memories of the people. He went on to highlight the actor’s journey of becoming a self-made star who came to Mumbai from Delhi, worked as a waiter and assisted a photographer. ” It is ridiculous for him to be asked to prove his stardom to us even after 33 years,” he further added.
Mudassar went on to commend the actor for his intelligence. He explained that the actor carefully considers everything and this high level of commitment results in him making few mistakes. “He simply takes all criticism in stride, which is the attitude I notice in him. I aspire to be like him when I reach 57,” he said.
The actor reminisced about discussing his challenging periods with Kumar as tears filled his eyes. He acknowledged that he has not achieved even 10% of the success compared to what this particular actor has attained. In his view, the actor from Khel Khel Mein is a “self-cult icon” and he finds it peculiar when anyone questions his stardom.
Speaking from my perspective as a devoted follower, if a handful of web interactions enable others to evaluate him, then three and a half decades of expertise empower Akshay Kumar to execute the kind of projects that resonate with him. And that’s essentially what I wish to convey.
Right now, Akshay Kumar is basking in the success of the movie “Khel Khel Mein,” directed by Mudassar Aziz. This comedy-drama features a talented cast including Taapsee Pannu, Aditya Seal, Ammy Virk, Pragya Jaiswal, and others, who made their debut on our screens on Independence Day.
