A supporter based in Dubai noted that alterations made by the UAE Media Regulatory Office significantly shifted the portrayal of Fardeen’s character within the movie. “It’s disappointing to witness such a pivotal scene being removed. I was taken aback when I learned about this from Indian cinema-goers. Such censorship deprives viewers of fully appreciating the film’s strong message,” the fan commented.
Multiple sources indicate that not only has the climax-related storyline involving Fardeen Khan’s character been significantly reduced by local authorities, but also substantial portions of the narrative have been removed. The portal contacted Mudassar Aziz, the movie’s director, regarding censorship issues. He replied, “It’s unfortunate that something so pertinent and executed with such grace couldn’t be screened in UAE, but I’m elated by the appreciation I’m receiving worldwide for those specific scenes.”
On the contrary, Fardeen Khan expressed that his character in Khel Khel Mein aims to stimulate a meaningful and pertinent discussion.
