Khushi Kapoor opens up on why she doesn’t let negative feedback affect her: ‘I don’t think there’s any point’

Khushi Kapoor made her debut in The Archies, followed by Loveyapa and Nadaaniyan, marking three films in her acting career. However, she has faced criticism for all her roles, which is common for artists dealing with the public’s scrutiny. Although her performances have received mixed to unfavorable opinions, Khushi acknowledges the value of receiving constructive criticism, stating that it doesn’t matter much to her.

During an interview with The Times of India, Khushi Kapoor opened up about dealing with criticism. She expressed that it’s generally straightforward to discern someone’s intentions, be it through their words or actions.

Highlighting the importance of meaningful feedback, she pointed out that comments lacking useful insights don’t hold much value, making them less worthy of consideration.

Looking back at her career thus far, Kapoor, who first appeared in The Archies, expressed a sense of optimism about her progression. She emphasized that the true satisfaction stems from the work itself, as she derives pleasure from learning, growing, and tackling diverse roles. For her, the thrill lies in consistently encountering fresh possibilities and delving into various characters.

When queried about whether her affection for acting changed throughout her three movies, Khushi disclosed that her love for the art form has consistently been there, given her upbringing amidst film sets. Yet, she conceded that her familiarity and comfort have expanded with every venture, leading to a heightened sense of confidence in her decisions now.

After finishing three movies, she feels confident that she’s discovered her unique style and is now comfortable sharing her ideas freely throughout the creative journey. Previously, she was more inclined to listen and learn, but now she views her role as more collaborative, enabling her to actively engage and voice her opinions.

Khushi continued by explaining that most of the work is done during the pre-production stage of filmmaking, focusing mainly on creating characters and grasping the storyline. Now, she feels empowered to voice her own interpretations of her character, fostering a more cooperative approach with her directors in the process.
