Killer Mike to Drop 'Songs For Sinners & Saints' this Friday

As a huge fan of Killer Mike, I am beyond excited for the release of his new project, “Songs For Sinners & Saints.” His previous album, “MICHAEL,” was a powerful and impactful body of work that resonated deeply with me and many others. But it seems that Mike isn’t done exploring this sound yet.

Killer Mike isn’t finished with his collaborator Michael yet. In a statement, he shared that they had spent a year working together, and during this time, Mike recognized there were still more things he wanted to accomplish musically before moving on. Consequently, he is releasing an album titled “Songs For Sinners & Saints,” which he describes as the conclusion to their award-winning project, “MICHAEL.”

With a total of ten tracks, the album “Songs For Sinners & Saints” features fresh hits like “EXIT 9,” collaborating Offset, Blxst, Lena Byrd Miles, and Troy Durden. Additionally, it includes the introspective track “HUMBLE ME.” You can check out the complete list of tracks further down, which also showcases collaborations with artists such as Key Glock and Project Pat, among others.

Mike explained, “This is my personal story of faith. As a child, sharing testimonies during church services was significant for me. It gave people a chance to openly discuss their struggles and victories. After the joyous occasion following MICHAEL, I was reminded that hardships don’t disappear but God stays with me. My tale is one of enduring through challenges, such as doubt, hatred, and fear, and continuing to find triumph. I come before you today to connect with other sinners and saints.”

I wasn’t finished with the way Michael sounded and felt to me, and I discovered that I might still be undecided about certain songs from it. These tunes merit different interpretations, and now I’m in a dilemma, preferring one rendition over the other.

Expect Songs For Sinners & Saints to drop everywhere this Friday, August
