King of the Hill Actor Jonathan Joss Shot and Killed in Suspect’s Confession

The well-known actor, Jonathan Joss, best recognized for his role in “Parks and Recreation,” passed away on Sunday following a sudden health issue. Although the investigation is ongoing, additional information regarding the event has been disclosed in the official police report.

According to the police report, the fatal shooting took place around 7 PM on Sunday night. A woman had driven Joss from Austin, Texas, to his old home in San Antonio to pick up the mail; the house had been burnt down by a fire in January. This aligns with a statement that Joss’ husband made following the incident, indicating he was present during this trip.

As per the police report, Sigfredo Ceja Alvarez arrived in a vehicle, accompanied by another person. At this point, it’s unclear exactly what was said, but it’s stated that they had a heated argument. Allegedly, Ceja Alvarez threatened to shoot Joss with a gun during the dispute. Subsequently, according to allegations, Ceja Alvarez drew a firearm and fired at Joss, resulting in fatal injuries for the actor.

Jonathan Joss Was Pronounced Dead at the Scene

The paramedics who arrived couldn’t save Joss, tragically losing his life at the scene itself. Nearby police officers apprehended Ceja Alvarez, according to their report, who is said to have confessed, “I fired the shot.” He was taken into custody for murder and his bail was set at $200,000.

Tristan Kern de Gonzalez, Joss’ spouse, maintains that the shooting was instigated by their sexual orientation. Following the incident, Kern de Gonzales stated that upon checking the mail at Joss’ old residence, they discovered a skull and harness of one of his late dogs prominently displayed as a form of provocation. The alleged perpetrator is claimed to have later appeared while the couple was upset, which escalated into a confrontation.

Kern de Gonzales stated, “Upon witnessing the distressing scene, we reacted with shouting and tears. As we were doing so, a man came up to us, hurling abusive, homophobic remarks at us. He wasn’t done, as he pulled out a gun concealed in his lap and fired it.

He stated, “Jonathan and I were unarmed. We posed no danger to anyone. We were mourning. We stood together. When the man shot, Jonathan shoved me aside. He protected my life… He was taken by someone who couldn’t tolerate two men expressing their love. I was beside him when he breathed his last. I told him how deeply he was cherished.

After my latest post grabbed attention from the media, the San Antonio Police Department decided to issue an official response about the ongoing investigation into Joss’ murder. They stated that while they’re currently examining all angles regarding his death, they haven’t definitively confirmed whether it was motivated by homophobia. However, as the probe continues, this finding could possibly shift.

Regarding the online speculation suggesting Mr. Joss’s death was a hate crime motivated by his sexuality, the ongoing investigation has uncovered no proof supporting this theory at present.
