Kirk Medas, ‘Floribama Shore’ Star, Dies at 33

Kirk Medas, reality star from MTV’s Floribama Shore, has died. He was 33. 

Medas died Friday following complications with liver failure, his father told TMZ. 

It’s extremely unfortunate to hear about the heartbreaking demise of Kirk Medas, who was cherished within the Florigama Shore family,” said an MTV representative in a statement shared with THR. “Our sympathies are extended to his family, friends, and admirers during this challenging period.

In 2017, Medas made his debut on the first season of “Floribama Shore.” He appeared in the show throughout its four-season span on MTV until it was taken off the air. During this time, he was a significant character alongside Aimee Hall, Nilsa Prowant, Jeremiah Buoni, Codi Butts, Kortni Gilson, Candace Rice, and Gus Smyrnios.

With Prowant, Hall, and Buoni, Medas appeared on a unique episode of Fear Factor. In this episode, the cast from Floribama Shore went head-to-head against Deena Nicole Cortese, Snooki, Pauly D, and Ronnie Ortiz-Magro from Jersey Shore: Family Vacation. Additionally, Medas is recognized for his role in the comedy mini series Everybody Hates Kyle, which premiered in 2022.

On a Thursday, I took to my Instagram to share some heavy news about one of my close friends, Kirk. He’s been bravely fighting a severe case of necrotizing pancreatitis in the ICU for more than two weeks now. To help him with the mounting expenses, I set up a GoFundMe page. My fellow cast member, Prowant, also showed her support by sharing this link on her Instagram profile.

After learning about Medas’ passing, Hall expressed her grief by posting a tribute in which she stated that she had “lost a sibling, an incredibly close companion, and now, perhaps, heaven has been adorned with its newest, most radiant angel.

Everyone is struggling to come to terms with this shocking tragedy. Kirk was like the bond that kept us united. He showed his affection for each of us so profoundly, with a love greater than anything this world can encompass,” she expressed in her post’s caption. “I believe that one beautiful day, we’ll all reunite again. Until then, I will miss him every single day.
