News broke out in the world of television and film that Parvin Dabas, a well-known actor and businessman, suffered a fatal accident, leading to his admission into the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Notably, Dabas is married to the renowned actress Preeti Jhangiani.
If you’re not familiar with Parvin Dabas, here’s a brief introduction: Parvin Dabas is a versatile individual who excels as a model, actor, and filmmaker. At the age of 50, he completed his schooling at Modern School Vasant Vihar, New Delhi and continued his education at Hans Raj College, Delhi University. After some time, he chose to venture into the entertainment industry and made his acting debut in 1999 with the drama film, Dillag, alongside Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, and Urmila Matondkar. Since then, he has worked across various film industries and in multiple languages such as Malayalam, English, and Kannada.
2001 marked the moment I stepped into the limelight when I graced the screen as a part of Mira Nair’s critically-acclaimed comedy-drama, Monsoon Wedding. This film boasted an illustrious ensemble cast, including Naseeruddin Shah, Lillete Dubey, Shefali Shah, Vasundhara Das, Vijay Raaz, Tillotama Shome, Randeep Hooda, and more. Since then, I’ve been fortunate enough to contribute to numerous projects such as The Hero: Love Story of a Spy, Maine Gandhi Ko Nahin Mara, Khosla Ka Ghosla, My Name Is Khan, Ragini MMS 2, Indu Sarkar, Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai, Hostages, Made in Heaven, and others. Most recently, I had the pleasure of collaborating with Tahira Kashyap Khurrana on her directorial debut, Sharmajee Ki Beti, where I played Vinod Sharma.
It’s worth noting that apart from acting, Dabas has ventured into filmmaking with his debut movie Sahi Dhandhe Galat Bande in 2011. This action flick starred Anupam Kher and Sharat Saxena and garnered numerous awards, including the Bronze Palm Award in The Feature Film Category at the 2011 Mexico International Film Festival. Additionally, Dabas is the founder of the Pro Panja League tournament, is trained as a scuba diver and underwater photographer. He tied the knot with actress Preeti Jhangiani on March 23, 2008, and together they have two sons named Jaiveer and Dev.
Unfortunately, on September 21, he encountered a road accident and was urgently transported to Holy Family Hospital in Bandra, accompanied by his wife Preeti. An update on his condition shared by an informant revealed that Parvin underwent MRI, sonography, and several X-rays, but remains stable and is able to talk. However, he has been experiencing severe pain in his back and knees since being admitted. According to the source, there are no facial injuries, head injuries, or internal bleeding in any part of his body. Additionally, his vital signs are all within normal limits.
