Kobra Brings His Kaleidoscopic Works to W Aspen

The well-known Brazilian artist Eduardo Kobra has turned W Aspen in Colorado into a lively canvas adorned with a stunning array of murals and installations, characterized by his distinctive style of vivid colors and geometric patterns. Spanning the lobby, rooms, and private spaces, Kobra’s work at W Aspen offers an engaging visual experience that showcases his unique artistic approach. By skillfully combining squares, triangles, and textures, Kobra breathes life into larger-than-life portraits, honoring figures and moments through his distinctive perspective as an artist.

Alongside Kobra’s artistic dominance, W Aspen is elevating its guest experience this winter by unveiling two eagerly awaited dining concepts. From now until April 2025, the hotel will welcome Chef Eyal Shani’s renowned Mediterranean restaurant, HaSalon, for a special pop-up event. HaSalon is famous for its unique blend of strong flavors and fresh, locally sourced ingredients, and its Aspen location will offer a dynamic dining experience that transforms from intimate dinners accompanied by music to vibrant evenings filled with dancing and energetic cuisine. Signature dishes such as charred beetroot carpaccio, baby potatoes with Osetra caviar, and ricotta clouds will showcase Chef Shani’s innovative take on Mediterranean cuisine.

Furthermore, W Aspen is set to debut HIDALGO, an enduring bar idea spearheaded by mixology innovator Dushan Zarić, known for the legendary Employees Only bars. Nestled in the hotel’s lobby grotto, HIDALGO will specialize in meticulously crafted agave cocktails such as the “Improved Margarita” and “Yellow Jacket.” With Zarić’s celebrated ingenuity, HIDALGO aims to be a refined yet lively haven for cocktail connoisseurs, open from 6 PM on Thursdays through Mondays.
