When Nobody Wants This debuted in the fall, it swiftly ranked among the most compelling binge-worthy shows on Netflix during its initial live weekend. Shortly afterward, NWT‘s second season was given the go-ahead, and fans have eagerly anticipated its release later this year as listed on the 2025 Netflix streaming schedule. However, it seems there’s a hidden champion advocating for the series – Kristen Bell recently disclosed the unexpected demographic that has been promoting it, further validating our collective desire for the Noah/Joanne universe to persist.
Actors Bell and Adam Brody dropped by the popular morning show, Today, for a chat about their upcoming romantic comedy. In an exciting twist, the actress from Frozen shared on TikTok that six different women have claimed their fathers helped them secure roles in the popular series, surprising many viewers. She disclosed this interesting tidbit:
In an unexpected turn of events, I’ve encountered six instances where women from different aspects of my life have mentioned they are going to start watching a particular show. This girl from my choir class was one example, saying she hasn’t seen it yet but her father told her to watch it. Remarkably, it seems that every father has watched this show and is recommending it to their daughters. It appears dads really enjoy it!
I’m quite taken with it, and yet not entirely shocked. Not every dad is well-versed in romantic comedies, but those who are often hit the nail on the head with their suggestions. Frankly, I wouldn’t have anticipated the Brody-Bell series being popular among many fathers. However, considering its sustained popularity for quite some time, it comes as no surprise that it made its way onto numerous dads’ lists.
I’m sharing this thought because I have a TV mentor who introduced me to some exceptional shows. One standout recommendation is “Breaking Bad,” which was airing in its first season at the time. Initially, I couldn’t help but associate Bryan Cranston with Hal from “Malcolm in the Middle,” but he assured me it was crazy, yet good. By the way, he has also watched “Nobody Wants This” and is looking forward to Season 2.

It seems that nobody is displeased about the recent promotion of a cast member, and I’m eagerly anticipating how this will impact their character in the story.
Among the spontaneous humor and seamless pranks, genuine family dynamics and a deep-rooted love tale unfolding, this show truly stands out for mature viewers. If you haven’t given it a try yet due to my suggestion or if you’re one of those caring guardians, perhaps the only thing hindering you is an active Netflix subscription?
I’m quite eager to learn more about the dadfan theories regarding Season 2 of Neverwhere-The-Webseries, as I now understand that they hold significant weight within the “Nobody Wants This” enigma.
