During a heartfelt conversation with TopMob, Sunaina revealed her emotional response when she heard the news. She recounted the sequence of events within their family, saying, “Dad hinted that he would visit before making the announcement, and I was taken aback, thinking something might be wrong since he was coming down. But then he shared that he’d be announcing ‘Krrish.’ I was astounded by the news, exclaiming how incredible it was. He continued, ‘Your brother is directing it,’ and both of us began to cry. Now, as you know, my brother is stepping into dad’s role a bit more, directing the film. I have no doubt he’ll excel in his new position since, even when he served as an assistant director, he would offer valuable suggestions for scenes.

Personally speaking, it’s still hard for me to grasp the reality that my beloved brother is stepping into the director’s chair. I can’t help but remember the time when I saw dad shedding tears – something I had never witnessed before. The news of Hrithik becoming a director was completely unexpected, adding to the surprise. Seeing dad with tears in his eyes was the moment I couldn’t hold back my emotions. It was a profoundly proud moment for us all as Duggu embarks on this new journey. He will be carrying forward our family legacy, which started with the dream that dad and Hrithik shared, and continues to expand. In March 2025, Rakesh Roshan officially handed over the directorial duties to Hrithik. Sunaina expressed her emotions on Instagram, referring to Krrish as “Papa and Duggu’s dream project” and feeling proud seeing them bring that vision to life.

Joining the anticipation, it’s been announced that Priyanka Chopra will reprise her role in Krrish 4, teaming up once again with Hrithik Roshan. The production is slated to begin in the early part of 2026.
