As a seasoned gamer with a soft spot for automotive culture and a penchant for dance-infused narratives, I must say this collaboration between Alpine and LA(HORDE) left me spellbound! The short film “I don’t remember what it was not to know you” is an ode to Le Mans that seamlessly blends the grit of motorsport with the elegance of contemporary dance.
In a heartfelt homage to the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans auto race, automaker Alpine has unveiled a fresh music video in collaboration with dance troupe LA(HORDE), entitled “I can’t recall what it felt like not to know you.
In a recent development, this latest project isn’t actually their first collaboration. Earlier in the year, the trio – headed by Marine Brutti, Jonathan Debrouwer, and Arthur Harel – were commissioned for the unveiling of the electric A290. There, they delivered an expressive performance centered around the Dream Garage vehicle, blending contemporary dance moves that they’ve mastered at Ballet National de Marseille into their automobile brand collaboration. The focus is on reimagining the driving experience through artistic expression.
As a passionate enthusiast, I can’t help but express my excitement for the fresh short film, (LA)HORDE, which chronicles the thrilling trip to Le Mans. This production brilliantly expands on the captivating A290 car exhibition, adding a hyper-realistic touch that truly brings the experience to life. The storyline is centered around two video game-inspired characters who serve as our guides, offering a unique perspective that’s almost like seeing through the eyes of a child.
