As a die-hard fan of all things Larry David, this news about his upcoming tour is like finding a rare Seinfeld DVD at a garage sale! I can hardly contain my excitement as I eagerly await September 20, when he’ll grace the stage in Denver with Peyton Manning.
This autumn, Larry David will embark on a tour across the United States. The tour is titled “A Chat with Larry David” and involves the comedian having informal discussions, moderated by various unexpected guests, about his work on Seinfeld, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and everything in between.
The tour commences on September 20th in Denver, with David being accompanied by Peyton Manning. After that, we’ll visit Seattle, San Francisco, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Chicago, and other locations.
In the late 1980s, David Seinfeld and Jerry Seinfeld collaborated to produce Seinfeld, a series that aired for an impressive nine seasons spanning a whole decade. Notably, David wrote 62 of those episodes himself.
After Seinfeld concluded, what initially began as a one-time hour-long comedy special, titled Curb Your Enthusiasm, got transformed into an ongoing HBO series. In this show, David portrayed a character similar to himself, and the storylines were inspired by his actual experiences following Seinfeld.
David expressed on Instagram that it’s quite insignificant and wouldn’t be worth your while. He added that there aren’t many nighttime activities, but if you’re looking for something to fill time, perhaps bowling could be an option. It’s not a bad suggestion, as he himself hasn’t done it in half a century. However, now that he mentioned it, he feels inclined to go bowling again soon.
A general sale for tickets to A Conversation With Larry David opens on Friday, September 13.
