The LEGO Ideas platform allows passionate designers to submit their unique creations for consideration by the wider LEGO community. If a design gathers enough backing, it’s reviewed by the company to decide whether it will be produced. Over the 17 years since its inception, only a small percentage of designs from each review round have actually been chosen. We had a look at some of the top sets in 2023.
One design is Toby Brett’s interpretation of Pixar’s cherished lamp character Luxo Jr., first introduced in the 1986 animated short film that bears his name. This Luxo Jr. set, comprised of 613 parts, towers at over 11 inches and boasts full articulation, enabling users to reenact its iconic bouncing and spinning moves. The package includes a Disney Pixar ball, adorned with Easter eggs referencing beloved Pixar films like Ratatouille and Toy Story.
