LEGO Pokémon Will Make Fans Catch and Build ‘Em All

After receiving LEGO Mario and LEGO Nintendo sets, it was almost inevitable that LEGO Pokémon would be announced. Although it wasn’t a complete shock, this news is significant to fans who enjoy building with bricks and catching them all. Given that it’s both LEGO and Pokémon, fans will likely exclaim “gotta build ’em all” when discussing this blending of pastimes.

The official LEGO website has confirmed that brick versions of these iconic creatures will be coming in 2026. It’s not yet known which Pokémon will be part of this, but Pikachu is a given, as the announcement comes with a brick version of the icon’s electric tail. Expect more Pokémon to be announced shortly, particularly when the release date draws near.

We’ve seen various toys for these pocket-sized monsters before, so LEGO Pokémon feels like it was only a matter of time. As mentioned earlier, we already have LEGO Mario sets and LEGO Nintendo consoles, so this makes plenty of sense. More details would be nice, but these bricks are hard to make and The Pokémon Company probably has a say on what creatures get to be in the sets.

Since these sets are coming out in 2026, it will be interesting to see if they tie into the upcoming Legends: Z-A or if they’re used to hype up new games. Now that fans know the Switch 2 is real, many will be waiting for the newest game of this series. Hopefully, this new system’s power will also lead to games that run better than Scarlet and Violet.

Expect fans to go crazy for LEGO Pokémon, especially adults who love both LEGO and Pokémon. Although younger fans do admire Pikachu and Bulbasaur, adult enthusiasts go crazy over how rare these collectibles can be. We’ve also seen people go crazy for Pokémon Trading Cards in the past and they will probably do the same for these LEGO figures.
