LEGO Unveils New 'Sonic the Hedgehog' Sets

As a lifelong Sonic the Hedgehog enthusiast who grew up playing the iconic video games, I couldn’t help but feel a rush of nostalgia upon hearing about LEGO’s latest offerings. The thought of recreating my favorite Sonic moments with these new sets is simply exhilarating!

As a die-hard gamer, I’m super excited to share that yours truly is gonna get my hands on some new LEGO sets coming next year! That’s right, LEGO has just announced two fresh additions to their legendary Sonic the Hedgehog collection, due for release in January 2025. These bad boys were unveiled during the annual Sonic Central livestream, and they’re gonna let fans like me recreate epic adventures with our favorite Sonic characters and villains, all in LEGO brick form! Can’t wait!

The initial LEGO set, titled “Sonic the Hedgehog’s Campfire Clash (77001)”: This 177-piece construction includes an action where Sonic is tasked with safeguarding the Chaos Emerald from G.U.N. Beetle and G.U.N. Hunter, all while enjoying a peaceful campfire setting. By utilizing Sonic’s trademark speed sphere, fans can engage in battles against robot enemies, save Tocky, and gather Gold Rings.

Furthermore, LEGO is introducing a new set titled “Sonic the Hedgehog: Super Shadow vs. Biolizard (77003)”. This build allows creators to protect the Space Colony ARK from the powerful Biolizard. Using characters like Super Sonic, Super Shadow and the speed sphere launcher, enthusiasts can discover Biolizard’s vulnerable spots and recover the Chaos Emerald.

These releases continue a series of Sonic-themed LEGO sets that were introduced in 2024, such as the thrilling LEGO Super Sonic vs. Egg Drillster (76999). As shared by LEGO Designer Frédéric Roland Andre, the brand is eager to bring beloved Sonic characters and significant moments from the franchise to life. The upcoming sets are scheduled for release on LEGO’s official website starting January 1, 2025, with prices ranging between $55 and $80 USD.
