Leonardo DiCaprio Is a Wacky Revolutionary in ‘One Battle After Another’ Official Trailer

After the sneak peek from last week, Warner Bros. has unveiled the formal trailer for the movie titled One Battle After Another.

In this new film directed by Anderson, Leonardo DiCaprio takes on his first role in one of Anderson’s productions, joining a star-studded cast that includes Regina Hall, Teyana Taylor, Sean Penn, Alana Haim, Benicio del Toro, Wood Harris, Shayna McHayle, and Chase Infiniti. The storyline is loosely based on Thomas Pynchon’s 1990 novel, Vineland. DiCaprio plays Bob Ferguson, a disheveled revolutionary who is desperately trying to save his daughter. The movie opens with a scene of Bob using a payphone and reciting passwords to someone on the other end. When he slips up once, the person hangs up, causing Bob to take matters into his own hands in order to find his daughter. Throughout the trailer, we see Benicio del Toro as Bob’s mentor, and the film ends with DiCaprio shouting “Viva la revolución,” as they both stand ready to fight against their adversaries.

The screenplay is penned and created by Sara Murphy and the late Adam Somner, with Leonardo DiCaprio’s latest leading role since his appearance in the 2023 historical drama “Killers of the Flower Moon,” directed by Martin Scorsese. The film titled “One Battle After Another” is set to hit cinemas on September 26.
