In a recent event at SXSW London, she spoke about her journey towards becoming a director. She admitted that she had to deal with feelings of being an imposter and needed to become more humble. To prepare herself for the role, she teamed up with seasoned professionals who were ready to guide her on both the artistic and technical aspects of directing.

You’re joking!” Yet, within just a few days, a well-known actor echoed his prediction, and indeed, it eventually became a reality for her.

During her talk at SXSW London and an extensive conversation, Wright reminisced about her journey into the world of cinema as a timid teenager. “I developed a passion for movies at thirteen,” she revealed. “I would spend countless hours watching films downloaded from Limewire… I was more of a solitary figure back then.

As a gamer, I’d put it like this: “When it comes to my career, I’m all about leaving a lasting mark and making sure people enjoy the journey. It’s not just about fame for me; it’s about creating something meaningful that people can remember.

When it comes to fame, Wright pointed out that it requires a remarkably resilient individual to navigate its challenging aspects, as not everyone is consistently considerate. She expressed that they often fail to grant us the allowance for our humanity.

Is it known if Wright has any favorite films among those she’s worked on to date? She expressed appreciation for the body of work she has developed within the film industry. However, she pointed out performing in Danai Gurira’s play The Convert at the Young Vic Theatre in London, where she portrayed Jekesai/Ester, as one of her most cherished professional experiences thus far.

Tiwa Savage, a renowned Nigerian singer-songwriter, participated in a discussion titled “Women in the Room,” which took place at the Truman Brewery in London’s Shoreditch area during the festival’s inaugural European event.

From June 7th onwards, SXSW London will be underway. The primary shareholder of SXSW is Penske Media, which is also the publisher of The Hollywood Reporter.
