Lewis Hamilton Hits the Slopes With Dior Once Again

As a fan who has been following Lewis Hamilton‘s journey since his days on the F1 track, I must say that his collaboration with Dior is nothing short of spectacular! The latest capsule collection, inspired by his African roots and focused on performance, is a testament to his dynamic personality both on and off the racetrack.

Lewis Hamilton continues to accelerate his collaboration with Dior, rather than easing up. He is aggressively expanding their collection of jointly designed winter wear, taking inspiration from his African heritage to create a vibrant set of cold-weather clothing suitable for both skiing and urban fashion.

During his tenure as both the in-house designer and global representative for the house, Hamilton draws heavily from his roots to inject his unique style into some of Dior’s classic all-weather design elements. In their recent lifestyle collection release, Hamilton and Kim Jones emphasize performance by viewing it through a dual perspective, transforming Japanese technical ski wear into something refined and sophisticated.

In Hamilton’s own words, “Our thoughts and principles match well, which makes it effortless for us to create an imaginative assortment that reflects our joint memories.

At the forefront are various jacketing styles, appearing in a variety of roomy silhouettes and shapes that include puffers, overshirts, and even tailored suiting. Tweed sets catch the eye among loose-fitting denim and knitwear pieces, while sweatshirts and fleeces are made from recycled fabrics.

By making deliberate decisions and constantly challenging myself, I infuse every creation with a touch of my African heritage. This is reflected through the use of traditional African textiles, an appreciation for organic materials, vivid hues, and a potent sense of energy. It’s truly invigorating to see this blend come to life.

Take a glance at the assortment featured in the lookbook up there. It is set to go on sale on Dior’s official online store soon.
