Lil Nas X Joins Crush Music Management Roster

Crush Music has diligently expanded its artist management team, with Kesha, Labrinth, and most recently, Lil Nas X, as confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter. Joining the ranks of Green Day, Sia, Miley Cyrus, Lorde, Alanis Morissette, Weezer, Fall Out Boy, and Panic! At The Disco, Lil Nas X now belongs to Crush Music, based in Los Angeles and New York.

The twice-awarded Grammy winner is primarily recognized for his chart-topping song “Old Town Road,” which teamed up with Billy Ray Cyrus. Afterwards, he released a series of popular tracks such as “Montero (Call Me by Your Name)”, “That’s What I Want”, “Panini” and “Industry Baby” in collaboration with Jack Harlow. His latest track, “J Christ,” was dropped on January 12th.

Originally, Lil Nas X was under the management of Adam Leber from Rebel Management, who also handled Miley Cyrus’ career and arranged her father’s guest spot on “Old Town Road.” Now, however, at Crush, he is represented by Jonathan Daniel and Dustin Addis.

Back in early last year, I eagerly waited for the release of the captivating documentary titled “Lil Nas X: Long Live Montero“, which finally premiered on HBO. It all started with a grand debut at the 2023 Toronto International Film Festival. The film took us on an intimate journey, chronicling Montero Hill, also known as Lil Nas X, during his two-month stint on the “Long Live Montero” tour.

In this documentary, we got a glimpse into Lil Nas X’s world as he shared insights about his career and his impact within the music industry. It was an enlightening experience to witness such a dynamic artist navigate through the intricacies of his profession.

Lil Nas X is under contract with Columbia Records, a record label that also represents Cyrus, Labrinth, and Orville Peck – all of whom are managed by Crush.

In the year 2002, the music company known as Crush Music was established by Daniel and Bob McLynn, who were previously musicians themselves. Additionally, they have a venture capital division called Crush Ventures that assists in funding early-stage entrepreneurs.
