Currently, it appears that the Super Bowl might not be on Lil Wayne’s current focus, but Madison Square Garden certainly is. With the confirmation of Tha Carter VI being released worldwide on June 6th, Weezy has announced his debut headlining performance at Madison Square Garden to celebrate the highly-anticipated album launch that same night.
The sixth part of Wayne’s Carter series continues the storyline from its previous release, Carter V, which came out in 2018. Likewise, Carter VI will be the first solo studio album by the rapper since 2020’s Funeral.
According to a recent interview with Rolling Stone, it appears that the upcoming album may include collaborations with Wyclef Jean, Andrea Bocelli, Miley Cyrus, Elephant Man, Machine Gun Kelly, Bono, Wheezy, Kameron Carter (his son), and possibly Ye. Additionally, there was mention of an unconfirmed Billie Eilish sample in the interview. At this point, a final tracklist has not been released yet; keep an eye out for further updates as more details become available.
Starting from this Wednesday, the 23rd of April, you can purchase tickets for Lil Wayne’s concert through the artist presales on Live Nation’s main site. The general sale will follow suit starting at 10 a.m., your local time, this coming Friday, the 25th of April.
