I’m thrilled to share that Lil Yachty is back with another unexpected single! Following closely on the heels of “Murda”, which samples Maggie Rogers, we now have “Won’t Diss You”. And as always, he delivers a lively, retro VHS-style music video to go along with it.

I’ve been keeping a low-key vibe when it comes to my music lately, avoiding any big promo for my new tracks. Suddenly, without warning or buildup, a new track titled “Murda” dropped on a hot summer Friday, accompanied by a fresh visual. Similarly, “Won’t Diss You” materialized out of nowhere, surprising us all at midnight.

The opening verse of the song ‘Boat’, lasting approximately two and a half minutes, sets the tone true to its title, as the artist raps: “I won’t insult you, no, I won’t insult you (Insult you) / Offline, I’ll never engage in insulting you (Insulting you) / If anything, I’ll express I care for you (Care for you) / In person, we can reconcile (Reconcile).” Catchy, chant-like phrases intersperse the second and third verses, which are shorter but still brimming with the rapper’s unbridled spirit.
