Linkin Park Reunite With New Music and Singer, Seven Years After Chester Bennington’s Death

As a long-time Linkin Park fan with countless memories tied to their music, I must admit, it feels bittersweet yet exhilarating to hear about their return. The band has always been a part of my life’s soundtrack, and Chester Bennington’s voice was an integral part of that melody. Seven years have passed since his departure, but the spirit of Linkin Park remains alive.

Seven years on from the loss of our beloved frontman Chester Bennington, it’s me, a gamer, feeling pumped as Linkin Park is back with fresh tunes and a new voice leading the charge!

On a live broadcast on Thursday, the rock band introduced Emily Armstrong as their new singer and Colin Brittain as their drummer. These two will be working alongside returning members Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, Phoenix, and Joe Hahn. Notably, Armstrong will be sharing vocal responsibilities with Shinoda.

Today holds a unique significance for me, dear fans. Stepping into Chester Bennington’s shoes this afternoon, I feel that each of you carry a piece of him today. Tragically, he left us shortly after the release of our last album, “One More Light.”

Apart from showcasing their latest song titled “The Emptiness Machine,” the band unveiled news about an upcoming album, “From Zero.” This anticipated album is slated for release on November 15th.

Previously, Armstrong was part of the alternative rock group Dead Sara, while Brittain, a composer and music producer, collaborated with Papa Roach, One OK Rock, and All Time Low. The representative of the band confirmed to the Associated Press that original drummer Rob Bourdon has chosen to take a step back.

“As we collaborated more with Emily and Colin, we grew to appreciate their exceptional skills, their companionship, and the fantastic outcomes,” Shinoda expressed. “We’re invigorated by this fresh team and the lively, energized music we’ve produced jointly. We’re blending the distinctive sounds we’re recognized for while also discovering new ones.”

Linkin Park unveiled their “From Zero World Tour,” a series of concerts spanning five arenas in cities such as Los Angeles, New York, Germany, London, and South Korea, with an additional show scheduled in Bogotá, Colombia.
